The license for this restaurant will allow the construction of a new restaurant in a location almost next door, made of wood, on stilts to allow passage through the dunes, this when the APA (Portuguese Environment Agency) mandates the requalification of the Altura beach area, as has happened in many other beaches in the country.
The project for the new restaurant already exists (see sketches and floor plan in the images), which will have 300m2, with 200m2 being the interior area and 100m2 intended for the terrace. With the new restaurant, the license will have a validity that varies according to the investment to be made, and in this case it will be at least 25 years, and may be longer.
As for the current restaurant, it is fully equipped, is in working order and can continue operating until the new restaurant is built. It has a capacity for 150 people on the terrace and 48 people inside. The covered area is 325m2 and the total area is 774m2.
This restaurant usually has a very high turnover and is one of the few that is still located at beach level. It can operate from breakfast time until the evening, as a bar, and is not limited in terms of noise or the volume of background music because it is isolated.
The space has two rooms, two bars, three large storage areas, a pantry, a large kitchen, a separate pantry, a changing room area, two public restrooms, a bathroom with a shower for employees, and also a private area with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a ramp for disabled access to the restaurant.
